Cultural forum "Ethnoculture: preservation of the Lemkos heritage"

On July 15-17, 2021, the cultural forum "Ethnoculture: preservation of the Lemkos heritage" was held in Perechyn, as part of the implementation of the project "Ethnotour: discover culture of the cross-border regions of Poland and Ukraine" and with the support of the cross-border cooperation program "Poland - Belarus - Ukraine 2014-2020".

             It was attended by representatives of cultural institutions, the Transcarpathian Museum of Architecture and Life, scientists, experts of history, history teachers and teachers-organizers of schools of Perechyn community, artisans, writers and cultural figures.

             The program of the forum presented the project "Discover culture of the cross-border regions of Poland and Ukraine", briefly presented the results of historical and cultural research on the Lemkos of Ukrainian experts Pavlo Leno ("Heritage of the Lemki of Perechyn Region"), Roman Pylyp ("Lemki Vyshyvanka"), Vasyl Kotsan (" Traditional folk housing and daily life of the Lemks of Transcarpathia") and a report by the Polish expert Jadwiga Kuli-Romanek about the Lasowiacy. Forum participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the photo exhibition "About people, for people..." and take part in pottery and weaving master classes.
